**NAPO’s Education Achievements Outshine Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s: NPP’s Nana B Loudly Speaks **

In a statement released on Monday, Nana Boakye, the National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), lauded Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s (NAPO) tenure as the Minister of Education, highlighting his transformative achievements and contrasting them with those of his predecessor, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

Nana Boakye emphasized that under NAPO’s leadership, the education sector in Ghana saw significant advancements, particularly with the implementation of the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy. This initiative, which has enabled hundreds of thousands of Ghanaian students to access secondary education without financial barriers, stands as a testament to NAPO’s commitment to educational reform.

“Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s vision and dedication have resulted in unprecedented access to education for Ghanaian youth. The Free SHS policy alone has revolutionized the landscape, providing opportunities for students who would have otherwise been left behind,” Nana B stated.

He further cited improvements in infrastructure, teacher training, and curriculum development as key areas where NAPO’s impact has been particularly noteworthy. The expansion and renovation of educational facilities across the country, coupled with the introduction of new teaching methodologies and resources, have contributed to a more robust and inclusive education system.

In contrast, Nana Boakye criticized Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s tenure, arguing that it lacked the dynamism and forward-thinking approach necessary for substantial progress. He pointed to issues such as inadequate infrastructure development and a failure to address the growing demand for secondary education during her time in office.

“While Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s tenure was marked by stagnation and missed opportunities, NAPO has brought about a renaissance in Ghana’s education sector. His achievements have not only set a new standard but have also positioned Ghana as a leader in educational reform on the continent,” Nana B asserted.

The National Organiser concluded by urging Ghanaians to recognize the stark differences in leadership and vision between the two figures, emphasizing that NAPO’s record is a clear indication of the NPP’s commitment to building a brighter future for Ghana through education.

As the country heads towards the 2024 elections, the NPP hopes that NAPO’s educational accomplishments will resonate with voters, highlighting the party’s broader agenda for national development and prosperity.
