Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye Declares Akufo-Addo Superior to Kuffour as Best NPP President

In a surprising endorsement, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, Member of Parliament for Bantama and Minister of Works & Housing, has declared his preference for President Akufo-Addo over former President Kuffour as the best leader produced by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Asenso-Boakye, a prominent figure within the NPP, expressed his views during a recent interview, emphasizing that President Akufo-Addo’s leadership style and accomplishments set him apart from his predecessor. The minister credited Akufo-Addo’s administration with transformative policies and initiatives that have significantly impacted the nation.

Highlighting specific achievements, Asenso-Boakye commended President Akufo-Addo for his role in the successful implementation of flagship programs such as Free Senior High School (SHS), Planting for Food and Jobs, and One District, One Factory. The MP argued that these initiatives have not only uplifted the lives of Ghanaians but have also positioned Akufo-Addo as a trailblazer within the NPP’s presidential history.

In contrast to the tenure of former President Kuffour, Asenso-Boakye suggested that Akufo-Addo’s presidency exhibited a more comprehensive and impactful approach to national development. He praised the incumbent president’s commitment to infrastructure development, job creation, and economic growth.

The Bantama MP’s endorsement sparked discussions within political circles, with supporters of both leaders expressing their opinions on social media platforms. Asenso-Boakye’s stance has added a new dimension to the discourse surrounding the NPP’s presidential legacy, and his public support for Akufo-Addo has raised eyebrows among those who hold Kuffour’s presidency in high regard.

As the political landscape continues to evolve, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye’s bold declaration positions President Akufo-Addo as the preferred choice in his eyes, shedding light on the internal perspectives within the NPP regarding the legacies of its past leaders.
